Information minister leads a search party for Chibok girls in Sambisa Forest

The Federal Government team, led by the Ministers of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed is in the Sambisa in search of the Chibok girls and other abductees still held in the forest Boko Haram insurgents.

According a statement released by the Special Assistant to the minister, Segun Adeyemi, the team left on Monday as scheduled aboard two aircrafts.

Also on the tour is the Defence minister Mansur Mohammed Dan Ali as well as two representatives of the Bring Back Our Girls (#BBOG) campaigners and a select group of journalists.

The team undertook the tour to the north east as part of the country to experience first-hand the Nigeria Air Force (NAF’s) daily search of Sambisa for the Chibok Girls and all those abducted by the Boko Haram terrorists.

The Ministers and two #BBOG representatives, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili and Mrs Aisha Yusuf, and the SA to the President in the Office of the Minister of Information and Culture, Adeyemi, joined one of the two search planes while the journalists joined the other.

Fighter jets provided air cover. The one-hour search was very revealing.
