ADP holds capacity-building workshop on record keeping for farmers in 8 LGAs

 Farmers from eight Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state have benefitted from various skills acquisition on market-driven productivity for maximum output in agric business.

The workshop was organised by the Anambra State Agricultural Development Programme (ADP).

At one of the training sessions in Idemili North secretariat, Ogidi, 30 farmers were exposed to some basic accounting rules like marginal cost, fixed cost and record keeping.

At another centre in Otuocha, Anambra East, the Director Rural Institution Development, Mr Lawrence Onuorah enjoined them to always put into consideration all the knowledge imparted in them before embarking on farming to ensure success.

Mr Onuorah, who was also a resource person, harped on one important factor, `the market’, a catalyst for production, considering the dynamic nature of the economy and market for farmers to be proactive to avoid losses.

The eight LGAs include Ekwusigo, Anambra West, Anambra East, Ayamelum, Orumba North, Orumba South, Awka North and Awka South.
