Youths have been advised to register during ongoing voter registration exercise and obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC).
With the cards, we can play more proactive roles in determining those to be placed to administer the country.
Coordinator Youth Take-over 2019 Movement, Mr Chris Ofordile said this at news conference in Awka.
He said that time was ripe to bring youths to the forefront of the nation’s leadership, taking into cognisance that leaders at Independence were all youths.
The youths were advised to change their political destinies in the fourth coming general election, instead of being used as political thugs and instruments of electoral malpractices.
Ofordile said that the country was experiencing the worst form of leadership where hunger, infrastructure decay, joblessness, insecurity, injustice, fear and pain had become the reward to citizens of the country.
He observed that appointments and promotions were monetised in public service leading to inefficiency and a lack of professionalism.
Ofordile, then, enjoined government to conduct Local Government elections, so that local councils could act as training grounds for youths, who want to grow in politics.
