Some Ndi Anambra express satisfaction at government’s fight against COVID-19

Awka, June 19, 2020 (MOI) As Government intensifies efforts at curbing spread of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic in the state, some Ndi Anambra have expressed satisfaction with Government over approach in handling the pandemic.

An appreciable number, hailed the Government on the move so far, noting that Government had been proactive in carrying out the duties.

Chairman, Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Mr Nonso Chinwuba praised government for putting all necessary facilities in place to stop the virus from spreading.

Mr Chijioke Igboanugo, a Trader, urged various security operatives in the state to assist government in checking influx of people from other parts of the country, where the disease had been debilitating.

He enjoined Government not to relent in its positive efforts at containment of the contagion.

Mr Okechukwu Onyedibe, a staff member of Ministry of Public Utilities described the state government as the best, when compared to other governors across the country, in the handling of the situation.

“Our governor has done well by establishing COVID-19 Task force across the 21 Local Government Areas (LGA) of the state.

“He also made provision of body temperature thermometers, wash hand buckets and bowls as well as bottles of liquid soap to civil servants in the state,’’ Onyedibe said.

An operative of Civil Defence Corps, Chinyere Umezinwa hailed the governor for distributing relief materials to communities in the state especially, during comprehensive lockdown.

She called on people of the state to continue to support his efforts. (MOI)
