Anambra Government has emphasised its commitment toward completion of all ongoing road projects in the state.Gov. Willie Obiano said this while inspecting the 11.5km Mmiata-Nzam with adjoining 120m bridge at Mmiata Anam, Anambra West Local Government Area (LGA).Obiano expressed satisfaction at the quality of work done so far at the bridge and the road.
He noted that the road and bridge were of economic importance to the people of Anambra West LGA and indeed Ndi Anambra.It is a very important road to Ndi Anambra West and Anambra State in general as it will aid evacuation of farm produce to markets as well facilitate ease in movement in the area.’’Anambra State Commissioner for Works, Mr Marcel Ifejiofor said that the project would be completed soon as most of the earth work had been done.The bridge is nearing completion. It is already in use and the contractor is on ground to ensure that work continues until final completion,’’ he added.The event attracted stakeholders from Anambra West including a Member, representing Anambra West in the State House, Sir Patrick Obalum Udoba.Also present was Anambra West LGA Transition Committee (TC) Chairman, Mr Sylvester Orji-Okafor.
