Miami girl, 7, dies after being struck in head during horrific drive-by shooting in residential neighborhood

A Miami girl, 7, was taken off life support and died after she was shot in the head during a drive-by shooting Saturday night that also injured a toddler, The Miami Herald reports.The little girl was declared brain dead over the weekend and was taken off life support on Monday.The Miami drive-by shooter or shooters hit the girl, two adults and a 16-month-old toddler, Alto Jacobs III, who sustained a bullet wound to the thigh and is currently in stable condition. Miami-Dade homicide detectives are now investigating the drive-by that mortally wounded the little girl and also wounded the toddler.

The drive-by shooting that hit the girl and the toddler occurred just after 8pm Saturday on a residential block in the Brownsville neighborhood of Miami.A car containing the little girl and the toddler had just parked in front of a home in the Miami neighborhood and the kids were getting out of the car. At that time, another car came along and the drive-by shooting began.
