In a shocking turn of events, a 23-year-old Florida mom of two was gunned down while filming a scene for an amateur rap video in which she and her friends staged a fictional kidnapping, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Early in the morning on Monday, July 27, in Riverview, Florida, the hail of bullets killed Haley Cox and injured her boyfriend, Erik Bronowski, 22.
A friend of Erik’s, 20-year-old Jordan Jaime Silver, has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Friends and family of the young mom and her boyfriend have been left to wonder why Jordan would have committed such a crime during the Florida rap video shoot.Jordan has been charged with murder by Florida authorities for allegedly killing the young mom during the rap video shoot. According to People magazine, Jordan has specifically been charged by Florida authorities with first-degree attempted premeditated murder with a firearm and second-degree murder with a firearm for allegedly slaying the mom during the rap video shoot.
The young mom and her boyfriend first gathered to film the video on the night of July 26 at the Wimauma, Florida, home of a pair of friends, Giovinie Bosques and his girlfriend. Jordan arrived at the video shoot, Giovinie reports, with a black semiautomatic handgun that seemed to come outfitted with a laser pointer. The foursome then headed to a powerline easement with water bottles filled with fake blood and a camera in hand.

There is at least one point in the footage in which Jordan is seen holding a handgun. According to the Florida arrest report, he was behaving “erratically” during the rap video shoot with the mom and the others. Giovinie had to advise him to settle down.
The Daily Mail reports that Giovinie and Erik would tell investigators that Jordan was pacing around during the shoot and hiding in the bushes for no apparent reason. Then shots rang out during the Florida rap video shoot and the mom dropped the camera to the ground.
At that point, Giovini picked up the camera and began to make a run for it.
He then screams at Jordan, asking why he did such a thing to the Florida mom as they filmed the rap video.
Fox 13 reports that Hillsborough County prosecutor Tony Falcone told a judge last week, “The defendant states words to the effect of ‘I don’t know’ and then second shots are heard, multiple shots, which were lodged into the chest of the second victim.”
