Anambra State Ministry of Transport has set up Traffic Command and Control Centre (TCCC), to cushion the menace of illegal activities in the state’s transport sector.
The centre is located at the Ministry of Transport, Jerome Udoji State Secretariat, Awka.
The Commissioner for Transport, Mr Afam Mbanefo, said the centre would help the ministry to generate baseline data of all the parks, driver’s unions, transport agents and agencies in the state.
According to him, this is for proper management and control of transport systems in the state.
He also informed the general public, pedestrians, road users and all road enforcement agencies in the state to report any obnoxious activity they come across on the roads.
“ The centre has been designed to receive complaints, in pictures and videos, from the general public on issues such as multiple taxation and illegal ticketing, reckless driving, decongestion of flashpoints and traffic updates.
Meanwhile, the centre has so many social media channels for complaints, with both pictures and video evidence for prompt action.
