Build a new Orumba South – a former Deputy Governor urges TC Chairman

A former Deputy Governor, Anambra State, Chief Emeka Sibeudu has urged the newly sworn-in Transition Committee Chairman, Orumba South Local Government Area (LGA), Mr C Y Okereke to build a new Orumba South, where peace and justice will  reign.

Sibeudu made the call during inauguration of the office of the new TC Chairman at the Orumba South Headquarters, Umunze.

He stressed the need to look properly into matters militating the growth and development of Orumba South and ensure that the issues were resolved for restoration of glory in the LGA.

Chief Sibeudu urged the chairman to put in his best to bring all the communities in Orumba South together as unity and synergy would mean greater Orumba South both in strength and governance.

“Reconcile all aggrieved parties so that Orumba South of today will be greater, to enable us to gain our rights politically and otherwise.”

He enjoined the people of Orumba South to embrace peace and come together as one big family; enlighten them on the need to keep supporting the current government in Anambra State.

Similarly, Dean and Episcopal Vicar of Akpu Deanery Rev. Fr. Basil Ezekeli urged the chairman to always carry his people along and imbibe the spirit of consultation when necessary.

In his response, Mr Okereke thanked the Deputy Governor for his advice, promising to make it his watch-word.

He assured that he would render selfless service starting with the setting up of a reconciliation committee to ensure peace and progress would be guaranteed.
