The Bishop, Methodist Diocese of Onitsha, Rt. Rev. Beluonwu Onugha has undertaken a tour of Obosi area of his Church.
Obosi section was created last year from other Cathedral, circuits and section from the Diocese.
Being a yearly event visiting Cathedral, circuits and section, the Bishop decided that visiting this newly created section first was imperative, with reasons best known to him.
His tour began on Aug. 14, when he visited three out of the six local churches that made up the section.
The three local churches are St. Peters, Umuoji, Bethel Church, Nkpor and Unity Church, Obosi.
Those he visited on Aug.15 comprise the Victory Church, Awada, Amazing Grace, Army Barracks and St. John’s The Beloved Church, Odume.
During his visit, Rev. Onugha sought how each church was faring, their needs and challenges. Thereafter, he would assist each in his own little way.
At St. John’s The Beloved, where he visited at last, as the Headquarters’ of the section, he pledged allocating 50 bags of cement to add to their mass building.
He also dedicated an 8-Man Praying Committee, aside the Sectional Ministers to pray and fast in connection with a bid to purchase their place of worship.
Bishop Onugha, then, expressed gratitude toward the achievements of the section in spite of the fact that they were new born babies.
He also urged the priest in charge of the section, Rev. Chukwudi Maduagwu not to relent in his duties.
His wife, Deaconess Comfort Onugha extolled the wife of the minister in charge, Mrs Joy Maduagwu of her good works and pleaded with all the women in the section to support her. (MOI)
