Anambra State Police Command has assured of adequate security during this year’s Easter celebration in the state.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Mr Monday Bala Kuryas, who gave the assurance, said the command had mapped out their operational measures.
A statement released in Awka by the Command’s Public Relation Officer, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, note that it had prepared an elaborate operations order that would effectively cover all nooks and crannies of the state.
Some of the places include worship centres, recreation, public buildings, flashpoints, black spots and other vulnerable areas in order to ensure adequate protection of life and property in the state.
“Individuals and groups desiring and planning to truncate this noble intention are warned to desist forthwith as any breach of public peace will attract the full wrath of the law.
“The CP, Mr Kuryas, while wishing all Christians a happy and peaceful Easter celebration also enjoined them to use the period to pray for sustainable peace in the state and Nation at large. “The command is assuring its commitment to ensuring the safety and security before, during and after the Easter period.’’
