Umuawulu monarch urges INEC to ensure best service delivery on Election Day

The traditional ruler of Umuawulu Igwe Joel Egwuonwu has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure unbiased disposition during the Nov. 6 Governorship election in the state.
Igwe Egwuonwu in a statement in Umuawulu following the commission’s introduction of the bimodal voter accreditation system for the Anambra State polls tasked the body to ensure transparency in the exercise to make the contestants and the electorate happy and confident in its capability.
INEC’s bimodal method is aimed at ensuring proper accreditation of prospective voters during the polls and other future elections in Nigeria.
It is a product of the smart card reader and Z-pad programmed to ensure fingerprints authentication of voter’s before casting the ballot.
The royal father said he would expect the Anambra electorate to vote wisely in order to choose their preferred candidate.
He used the forum to announce his preparation ahead of his new yam celebration scheduled for Sept. 25.
According to him, this year’s celebration like in previous years will feature agric show to empower farmers in the community. (MOI)
