FG, INEC demonstrated transparency in Anambra Governorship elections — Eze Igbo, Ghana

Awka, Nov. 17, 2021 (MOI) Federal Government has been commended for providing adequate security and equal opportunity to all the Governorship candidates at the just-concluded Nov. 6, Anambra elections.
This came a week after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor-elect.
He won on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
INEC was commended for its quality display of professionalism.
The Eze NdIgbo Ghana, Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu, said this during an interview in Awka.
The Imo state-born Eze Ndi Igbo Ghana said he rated the election as the most credible, conducted by INEC in recent times.
He also praised the FG for providing adequate security for the candidates and the electorate during the election.
In Dr Ihenetu said: “with the track records of Prof. Soludo in the financial sector, where he rose to become Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor and presently, member, President Muhammadu Buhari Economic advisory council, I have no doubt that he would move Anambra State forward”.
On how he had been managing affairs of Ndigbo in, Ghana, Ihenetu said they had continued to ensure that Ndigbo in Ghana live peacefully in their host country.
He stressed he and other eminent Igbo leaders in conjunction with Nigeria High Commission in Ghana, resolved the Trade dispute between the Nigerian traders and the Ghana Trade Union.
“Ndigbo in Ghana have been going about their business without fears’’. (MOI)
