Tunde Rahman, the media aide to the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has disclosed why his principal was absent at the National council meeting on Wed.
The spokesperson of the presidential aspirant during a chat with Punch said the APC constitution doesn’t grant Tinubu permission to attend the meeting.
Naija News had earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari, the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, Governors, the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu and different stakeholders within the party attended the meeting.
He noted that members of NEC are the President, VP, Senate President, Speaker, chairmen of the party in numerous states and members of the national executives of the party.
Rahman said, “Asíwájú isn’t a member of NEC. he’s a member of the National Caucus. Members of NEC ar the President, VP, Senate President, Speaker, State chairmen of the party and members of the national executives of the party.”
Meanwhile, the National operating Committee (NWC) of the ruling party on Wed took over the powers of the National council for ensuing ninety days.
