Former Chelsea legend has been inducted into the premier league hall of fame and doubles up to become the first African to be inducted to the hall of fame.
Didier Drogba has been named alongside other five legends;, Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany, Paul Scholes, Peter Schmeichel and Ian Wright.
Didier Drogba who played for Chelsea were crowned four times the premier league Champions revealed that he is very proud for the recognition for the efforts while at Chelsea.
“I am very proud to join other former players in the hall of fame. The moments at Chelsea were special for me and that is why I am very happy to be recognised. I am in the hall of fame with some of the players I played against which makes it more special. Said Drogba.
The new inductees join the earlier named players this year and will receive their awards later today.
The Premier League Hall of Fame recognises the immense skills and contributions in the world of football since its inception in 1992 and have been inducting and rewarding players who were exemplary in their careers.
