Olympic hero Estelle Mossely is set to be a unique visitor at the International Boxing Day (IBD) festivity in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo tomorrow.
The ladies’ lightweight gold medallist at Rio de Janeiro 2016 was brought into the world in France to a Congolese dad and Ukrainian mother prior to making her global boxing debut at 17-year-old.
“I’m exceptionally glad to return to my foundations and come to praise this critical day in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where my dad was conceived,” said Mossely.
“This nation is exceptionally unique for its boxing history and for me actually.
